Andrei Khudyk meets with Polish Ambassador Artur Michalski

Belarus’ Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Artur Michalski on 11 July. 


Andrei Khudyk said that Belarus and Poland accumulated considerable practical experience of cooperation in the field of environmental protection. 


Belarus and Poland have established working groups on the UNESCO Transboundary World Heritage Site “Belovezhskaya Pushcha”,  water resources, the Western Bug River Basin Council, the cross-border coordination council of the Belarusian-Polish-Ukrainian biosphere reserve West Polesie. The parties hold joint scientific research to preserve the European bison populations in Poland and Belarus, and engage in a number of other joint activities. “Environment knows no boundaries. So we will continue to develop our cooperation in this area,” Andrei Khudyk noted said. 


In conclusion of the meeting both sides reaffirmed interest in further development of fruitful interaction in environmental protection.
