Belarusian delegation attends meeting of Belarusian-Polish working group on water resources

A delegation of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection headed by Deputy Minister Andrei Khmel took part in a meeting of the Belarusian-Polish working group on water resources in Warsaw on 11 July 2018.
During the meeting the parties discussed:
1. The draft agreement between the governments of Poland and Belarus on cooperation in protection and rational use of transboundary waters.
2. The institutional reform of the National Water Management Authority and water resources management system in the Republic of Poland.
3. Development of flood hazard management and droughts mitigation plans in Poland.
During the meeting of the working group the countries harmonized the text of the draft agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in protection and rational use of transboundary waters.
During the official visit Andrei Khmel also met with the deputy minister for marine economy and inland navigation, and senior officials of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management of Poland.
