Nationwide tree planting day kicks off in Belarus

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus is holding a nationwide tree planting day, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection told BelTA.

The large-scale campaign aims to increase green spaces across the country, create comfortable and healthy living conditions, and make reclaimed lands productive. As part of the initiative, trees and shrubs will be planted in residential areas, forests, and reclaimed areas.

The ministry invites Belarusians to join the campaign. “Take part in activities such as Garden of Hope, Plant a Tree, Bringing Forests Back to Life, and Green Courtyard Together. Only through collective effort we can preserve our natural wealth in its original form,” the press service emphasized.
