The parties discussed the state and prospects of Belarus-Romania cooperation in environmental protection, including conservation of water resources, biological and landscape diversity.
The parties welcomed good dynamics of their environmental partnerships and emphasized the need to work together to preserve water resources, to step up cooperation in water resources protection and utilization, to sign bilateral agreements and to share information about outputs of research and observation.
The Belarusian side expressed readiness to share its best practices in water resources utilization and protection, and in development of management plans for water basins.
The participants of the meeting agreed on implementing joint projects in line with the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes.
