ISLAMABAD, 26 November (BelTA) – Following the talks between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, a comprehensive cooperation roadmap for 2025-2027 was signed, BelTA has learned.
The document was inked by the co-chairs of the Belarus-Pakistan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation - Energy Minister Aleksei Kushnarenko and Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
Belarus and Pakistan also signed an agreement on extradition and an intergovernmental agreement on international road traffic. A memorandum of cooperation on exchanging customs statistics on mutual trade was signed between the State Customs Committee of Belarus and the Customs Service of the Federal Board of Revenue of the Government of Pakistan.
A memorandum of cooperation in emergency prevention and response was concluded between the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus and the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan.
The Financial Monitoring Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus and the Financial Monitoring Unit of the Government of Pakistan will cooperate in exchanging information related to money laundering, predicate offenses and terrorist financing.
An agreement on cooperation in science and technology was signed by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. A similar agreement was concluded between the NASB and the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
The documents signed include memorandums of cooperation between the State Control Committee of Belarus and the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan; the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan; the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of Pakistan, the Center for Examinations and Tests in Healthcare of Belarus and the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.
Memorandums of understanding were signed by the Belarusian State Accreditation Center and the Pakistan National Accreditation Council; the National Institute of Vocational Education of Belarus and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission of Pakistan, BelHalal and the Pakistan Halal Authority.
