Chaired by Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk, the seminar gathered representatives of the ministry’s system, the Orsha District Executive Committee, the UNDP, and the International Sakharov Environmental Institute of the Belarusian State University. Representatives of interested enterprises and organizations of Orsha and the district also took part in the seminar for the sake of getting involved in the resolution of issues relating to environmental protection.

Andrei Khudyk noted: “In accordance with instructions of the head of state and a social and economic development program Orsha District has become the first region where such an information resource has been launched. We will continue making similar projects for ten other major cities (with the population of over 80,000) and will then unite them into one large-scale nationwide project, which monitors environment components online.”
