Uniqueness: The territory of the Nature Reserve includes large forests and a floodplain area between the Pronia and Sozh rivers. The Reserve is dominated by meadow and forest vegetation. The wildlife of the Reserve is represented by all animal classes, from amphibians to mammals.
The Reserve is extremely important for migratory birds - in the spring more than 20 thousand geese, 30 thousand waders, more than 500 common cranes and other bird species stop here. In addition, five plant species and 11 animal species are rare and are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus.
The main feature of the Nature Reserve is the location on its territory of the Golubaya Krinica (Blue Spring) natural monument (53.379008, 31.042900) - a spring with the most powerful ascending spring flow on the East European Plain. Every day, the Golubaya Krinica spring discharges 5,000 cubic metres of clearest water to the surface. This is the largest natural spring in Belarus in terms of the volume of groundwater flowing to the earth surface. The water in it has a constant temperature of about 5 C, does not freeze in winter and does not heat up in summer; it is bluish in colour. The water contains increased amounts of fluorine and silicon. The spring is a place of pilgrimage and worship during the annual national holiday – Makovej – known as the Honey Saviour (August 14). At this time, up to twenty thousand pilgrims gather near the Golubaya Krinica.

Ecotourism services: Accommodation at a recreation centre and Visitor Centre services in the village of Staraya Kamenka; an nature trail with bird observation towers; rental of gazebos for rest; three equipped camping sites; bicycle rent; recreation areas (gazebos, barbecues) near the Golubaya Krinica spring; rental of stationary and non-stationary retail spaces for the sale of goods near the Golubaya Krinica natural monument (May - September).
